XYMOTRONE

acceptable use policy

Terms of Service

Xymotrone is infrastructure for teams that collect publicly available web data responsibly. These terms set the ground rules for using the service safely and legally.

Publicly available data only

You may use Xymotrone to access and collect data that is published on the public web and reachable without circumventing authentication, paywalls, or access controls. Data behind a login you do not own, or obtained by bypassing technical protections, is out of scope.

robots.txt respectful collection

Configure your tasks to respect robots.txt and site-specific crawl directives. Xymotrone provides rate-limiting, concurrency ceilings, and path exclusion so you can stay inside the limits a site publishes.

Comply with the target site's terms

You are responsible for reading and following the terms of use, robots directives, and any other access rules published by the websites you configure. Xymotrone is infrastructure; how you point it is your responsibility.

No abusive or harmful traffic

Volumetric traffic, denial-of-service patterns, credential stuffing, card testing, spam distribution, harassment, or any activity likely to harm a target site or third party is prohibited and may result in immediate suspension.

No circumvention of protections

You may not use Xymotrone to bypass CAPTCHAs on sites that explicitly prohibit automated access, break authentication, evade IP blocks after being told to stop, or scrape non-public areas of a service.

Accurate account information

Provide accurate contact and billing information. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including tasks run by team members or API keys you create.

2. Acceptable use

Xymotrone is designed for legitimate business intelligence, QA automation, ad verification, price monitoring, SEO tracking, and similar use cases that operate on publicly available data. All use must respect robots.txt, site terms, applicable law, and the rights of third parties.

3. Prohibited activities

You may not use Xymotrone for: collecting non-public, personal, or copyrighted data without authorization; bypassing access controls or CAPTCHAs where prohibited; generating abusive traffic; distributing malware or spam; impersonating others; or any unlawful purpose.

4. Account responsibility

Keep your credentials and API keys secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account, including tasks, schedules, and data collection profiles created by your team members.

5. Service suspension

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe a use violates these terms, creates legal risk, or harms the service or third parties. We will attempt to notify you promptly when practical.

6. Limitation of liability

Xymotrone is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose.
